Announcing the 2024 AOC Chair & Vice Chair Advisory Council and the 2024 AOC Executive Advisory Council

2024 AOC Chair & Vice Chair Advisory Council

We are delighted to announce our newly appointed AOC Chair & Vice Chair Advisory Council for 2024. This incredible roster includes 17 of the most impactful academic orthopaedic clinical leaders in the country and we are honored to have their expertise on board to help guide us for “what’s next.”  Please note that we renamed this council to better reflect its inclusion Vice Chairs.

The CVCAC was established to help keep our finger on the pulse of what’s most valuable to our Chair and Vice Chair leaders and what they need. Each member of this Council has already contributed to a working document to inventory critical thinking specific to the focal points below.

It’s important  to note that we have seasoned veterans as well as a few “newbies” on the CVCAC so that we have a full complement of perspectives representing the needs of our members. There are also two special appointments that were approved by our Board of Advisors based on the needs of this group and the unique skill sets provided by those individuals. Participation on these councils is voluntary.

The focal points for the AOC’s Executive Advisory Council are below:

  • Participate in a fun quarterly call to discuss how best to support the member needs for these specific position types, AOC strategic pathway, member engagement and growth, and more!
  • Provide critical feedback to help shape content and flow specific to our Annual Symposium agenda and breakouts
  • Each member of the council will be expected to help create engagement on the digital platform by making a monthly post and/or responding to same during the year.
  • The Councils will each identify two topics of critical importance to peers and provide a virtual presentation during 2024.  The AOC will promote these webinars and invite others to attend these sessions.

Hooray to these leaders and please join us in welcoming them aboard!
