Introducing Adrienne Lloyd, a New Resource for Orthopaedic Leadership Development

Adrienne Lloyd

Adrienne Lloyd, MHA, FACHE

CEO, Optimize Healthcare and Senior Consultant for Operations Leadership, J3P Healthcare Solutions

As a 20-year executive at Mayo Clinic and Duke Health and now as a consultant and advisor,

I know the sacrifice healthcare leaders make and believe it is not sustainable for us to lead alone.

We need to build teams that are aligned with our visions and empowered to identify and solve problems together.

My background in driving organizational change — and my vision

I have led multiple organizational change efforts across academic department and clinical operations, with some spanning as large as 26 locations across 4 states.  These efforts not only created substantial improvements in operational efficiency, financial, quality, and staff, provider, and patient satisfaction but also created a stronger leadership team.

I believe to serve as leaders, we must prioritize those things that are important to us professionally and personally and support each other in pursuing both.

Here to help AOC Connect’s Orthopaedic Leaders

I am excited to engage with AOC members in collaboration with J3P and serve as a resource around department leadership, clinical and academic operations, strategic visioning, facility planning, and design, physician and administrative partnerships, and team engagement.

I speak nationally with MGMA and other organizations and love sharing strategies and tools to help leaders clarify their visions, improve communication, and increase efficiency.

Ultimately, I see a goal to design an environment that allows faculty and staff to share ideas and implement solutions so the leaders, can focus on growth and improvement rather than spending so much time putting out fires and managing dynamics.
