Getting Comfortable With Using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) To Measure Your DME Program Success

TUESDAY, September 12 • 10am • 2pm • 5pm EDT / 9am • 1pm • 4pm (CDT)

We’re trying something NEW. Instead of a traditional presentation followed by Q&A, a prestigious group of industry experts are hosting the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) clinical community for an engaging “fireside chat.” The open discussion will provide a platform to continue building business acumen through best practice sharing in a real-time setting with your peers. It always seems like time runs out at the end of presentations, just as the audience has a chance to engage in great dialog with the speaker, so this time we will use the whole hour for just that purpose.

The Academic Orthopaedic Consortium (AOC) and Breg are proud to present a FREE “fireside chat” for DME professionals working in a clinical environment facing the challenges of managing a cost center.

Getting comfortable with using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure your DME program success.

The conversation will be centered around:

  • How success can be measured within DME cost centers.
  • What specific methods are being used to evaluate and track KPIs.
  • How to implement DME program analytics without being overwhelmed.
  • How embracing business analytics can lead to improved patient and staff experiences.
  • And more!

This format will only be successful if you come prepared to interact with your peers and to share your experience and expertise, or even ask for advice.

Broc Brown, MS Practice Office Manager @Department of Orthopedic Surgery Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis

“The AOC (Academic Orthopaedic Consortium) provides professionals in orthopedics a platform to ask questions and gain knowledge from others in similar roles. With members representing several different organizations nationwide, it allows its members to provide feedback on topics that are impacting their practices. This organization is committed to making our profession stronger by sharing ideas and solutions in a setting that inclusive and professional. The DME community often faces numerous challenges with reimbursement, inventory, profits/losses, and logistics. The AOC provides a space for me to consult others who may be able to provide solutions or ideas on how to improve our DME program.”

Chantel Hunter MS, ATC, OTC, SA
DME Program Manager @University of Colorado School of Medicine Department of Orthopedics

“The AOC Connect is a valuable resource to bounce ideas and questions off other professionals in the field. I love hearing about other DME programs and ways to better my program. I found a sense of community within the group that I may otherwise not have found!”

Alek Johnson, MHA
Manager of Cast Room & DME Services @Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush

“AOC Connect provides an open forum specifically for DME professionals to share ideas, information, and navigate challenges together while also promoting a community approach which has been a missing component for many of us in the DME industry.”

Brian Chapin
DME Program Manager @Duke University Health System

“The DME Orthotic/Prosthetic Group through the AOC at AOC Connect is something I’ve wanted for a long time. Having a great collection of industry professionals from all over the country is such a valuable resource if you’re responsible for a DME program. Imagine networking with someone and seeking a solution to a problem you’re having- all from the comfort of your office! This group will help your program navigate from good to great!”

Shana Kelly
Senior Impact Consulting Manager @Breg, Inc.
